I started training with Brandon 3 months before a Spartan Super. I had a goal to complete a Spartan Trifecta and was training on my own. After completing the Spartan Sprint, I decided to seek out a trainer to better prepare for the Spartan Super. In those three months I lost 20lbs and improved my time significantly. I completed the Super, a 10 mile obstacle course race, in less than 4.5 hours. That's just an hour longer than the Sprint, a 4 mile obstacle course race, I completed right before I started training with Brandon. Before our first session Brandon and I had a lengthy conversation about my goals, the small timeframe I had, and what we had to do to turn me into the best athlete I could be to cross that finish line in style. After training with Brandon I went on to complete the second, the Spartan Super, and third, the Spartan Beast, races of the series to complete my Spartan Trifecta. He's an amazing trainer that gets to know his clients personally to help them overcome all the challenges they face and turns them into the athletes he knows they can become.

I trained with Brandon for more than a year and it was truly transformative. My goals weren't extreme. I didn't want to lose a ton of weight but I did want to tone up and get back into a groove of working out. I told him I enjoyed being active but I would lose interest in the gym quickly. Brandon made the workouts extremely fun, original and challenging. What I appreciated the most was that I shared my medical issues with him. I explained how having sickle cell comes along with restrictions in regards to endurance training and Brandon adapted. After training with him, I was able to maintain and keep up with the active lifestyle, whether that came in the form of the gym or a fitness class in the city.

I was not a fitness person when I started working with Brandon. Like any New Yorker, I walk a lot and that’s about it. But the gym gave a free session and I started training with Brandon. I believe he is the best coach I’ll ever have in my life. I have scoliosis and am not really in shape and Brandon customized a workout program that really took into account the specific muscle groups I want to work on. He pushes you hard but also has a great sense of how far he can push to improve your form without breaking you. He really broke down fitness for me, gave me a lot of confidence and knowledge about how to work out on my own after that. A very kind, generous and precise coach.
